ABOUT THE LOCAL GROUP
The Local Group of companies was established in 2006. The Local Group resulted from the merging of two existing and well-established certification companies: Inspec NSW Pty Ltd and Andrew Dean Consulting Pty Ltd. These two companies were established in the late 1990's to take advantage of the opportunities resulting from the amendments to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
From humble beginnings, Local now boasts six offices throughout New South Wales from the Southern Inland, South Coast, Macarthur, Norwest, Sydney to the Hunter Region. Each day our Inspectors travel all around the state to complete a large number of inspections.
We now have fourteen accredited certifiers of varying accreditation levels working across our six offices. All our staff have an extensive knowledge of and experience in all facets of the building industry. They are all accredited by the Building Professionals Board (BPB) and re-apply annually to have their accreditation up-to-date. This process keeps them informed of all the latest trends, changes and developments in the industry. We also employ a number of suitably qualified Building Consultants to assist with all of your consultancy needs. These include Town Planners, Building Consultants and Bushfire Consultants.
We have established a record for providing a reliable, efficient and competitive service. We are constantly looking at ways to innovate our processes and strive to be a leader for technological change within the certification industry. Over the years we have developed our internal systems, processes and procedures to ensure that at all times you are receiving the highest quality service available. These advances have allowed us to develop strong working relationships with many of the state's largest home builders.
